Here at Epson Europe we are looking for a Payroll Controller to join our team on a fixed term contract initially until the end of January 2027.
Due to the expansion of the European payroll you will join our existing team of two. You will manage the outsourced payroll activities across a number of Epson Europe locations coordinating with our outsourced provider and internal teams (Finance and HR)
The role is based from our brand new Clarendon Works office in Watford (free parking available) on a hybrid basis (2 days in the office per week plus 2 additional team days per month). Facilities include free onsite gym, cafe and roof top bar!
What you will do:
- Prepare, document, check and disburse payroll, payroll taxes and employee benefit payments.
- Monitor, correct, and evaluate current systems, and recommend operating efficiency improvements.
- Monitor and ensure proper documentation of employee benefits payments (including insurances)
- Submit monthly payroll reports to Finance, including and not limited to; journal entries, cost centre report and advance payments.
- Act as a first point of contact for all employees with regards to all salary, tax and benefits related questions
- Keep the payroll process documentation up to date.
- Create Purchase Orders on a weekly basis and confirm invoices or create accruals.
- Other duties, as may be required, in connection with payroll transactions for Epson entities.
What we ask for:
- Experience in a pure payroll position in a medium to large sized business
- Experience of European payroll would be beneficial but not essential
- Comfortable using MS Excel (Vlook ups and basic formulas)
- Experience working with an outsourced payroll provider would be beneficial but not essential.
- Numerate with attention to detail to ensure accuracy of work.
