Your mission
As a Trainee Sales Administration, you will support the European Sales Operations team in Amsterdam with daily tasks related to the Order-to-Cash process for our customer accounts. You will work closely with the Sales Administration team and collaborate with other departments such as Supply Chain and Logistics.
This internship aims to give you a clear overview of how our sales operations work in practice. You will receive guidance from the team and have the opportunity to build your skills in a straightforward, hands-on environment.
Please note that you must be enrolled at a university in the Netherlands to be eligible for this internship.
What you will do
Customer Claims Management
- Support the team with the full customer claim cycle, from initial request to resolution.
- Process and follow up on all related documentation for:
- Commercial and logistics claims
- Stock rotation
- Back margin, rebates & price protection
- Free-of-charge order creation
Sales & Operations Support
- Contribute to daily sales order allocation with business management and sales teams.
- Coordinate delivery creation and product availability with the supply chain (planning & fulfilment).
- Monitor transport partners’ performance to ensure slot booking and export requirements are met.
- Prepare customer-facing performance metrics and ensure service expectations are achieved.
- Track order progress closely to support revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
What we ask for
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree
- Some initial administrative experience
- Comfortable working with MS Office; Excel knowledge is a plus
- Not afraid to work with different systems (SAP is an advantage, not a requirement)
- Good communication skills, both written and spoken
- Interest in international business and/or global supply chain
- Customer-facing experience is a nice to have
- Strong attention to details and ability to follow tasks through to completion
- Logical, proactive, and able to take ownership of simple processes
