Your mission:

 

As the Technical Sales Specialist you will provide outstanding technical pre-sales support for the local Sales team and customers.

 

You will understand customer requirements and align them with Epson's professional printing solutions, helping to deliver solutions that meet and exceed customer expectations.

 

You will also share customer insights back into future product development to help shape the next generation of Epson solutions.

 

What you will do:

 

  • Provide proactive pre-sales technical support for new product launches to channel partners and end customers.
  • Deliver practical, hands-on technical support and guidance during customer engagements.
  • Collaborate closely with local and international Service teams to resolve technical challenges.
  • Engage with customers and their technical representatives early in the sales cycle and throughout the sales process to understand business requirements and desired outcomes.
  • Work alongside the Sales team to design solution proposals that deliver customer value while maximising commercial opportunities.
  • Support the Sales team and channel partners (including system integrators and specialist resellers) in delivering customer projects on-site.
  • Define software and hardware requirements, coordinate with local and central teams, and ensure successful delivery of customer solutions while managing communication and key project milestones.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key end users and partners, including Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and specialist resellers, in line with business objectives.
  • Support the Sales team with technical product information, training and product lifecycle updates.
  • Represent Epson at exhibitions, customer events and trade shows by delivering expert technical demonstrations and presentations.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and customised demonstration hardware and software for Sales teams.
  • Evaluate new products and software, identify potential issues and provide valuable feedback to Product Management.
  • Coordinate market intelligence and customer feedback to support Sales and Business Management in developing a healthy pipeline of business opportunities.
  • Deliver demonstrations of Epson SurePress solutions to prospective customers.
  • Manage the Epson Experience Center (EEC)

 

What you will bring:

 

  • Experience in a pre-sales, technical sales or technical product marketing environment, ideally supporting B2B customers within the professional printing industry.
  • Experience working with software solutions that drive and manage professional printing systems.
  • A degree in engineering, technical or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to interpret reports and data to support business decisions.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the confidence to engage technical and commercial audiences.
  • A logical, innovative and solution-focused approach to problem solving.
  • Fluency in both German and English, with excellent written and spoken communication skills.
