Your mission:

The Spare Parts Planning Team Leader is responsible for leading and developing a small team of planners and administrators to ensure the timely, cost-efficient, and sustainable availability of spare parts across the product lifecycle. This role drives operational excellence in forecasting, inventory optimization, and supplier performance while safeguarding service continuity for customers.

Acting as both a coach and lead, the Team Leader provides operational direction, oversees process compliance, and ensures data integrity within SAP and related systems. A strong analytical mindset, leadership capability, and commitment to professional development are key to success in this position.

 

What you will do:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Spare Parts Supply Chain Planners, acting as the subject matter to ensure optimal forecasting, inventory management, and customer service performance.
  • Oversee demand and supply planning activities for spare parts across all product categories and markets.
  • Act as escalation point for critical shortages, late deliveries, or launch-related issues, driving cross-functional resolution.
  • Manage and monitors team KPIs (forecast accuracy, backorder rate, service level, inventory turns).
  • Continuously improve planning processes, systems, and MRP parameter settings to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Service, Customer Service, Logistics, and Warehouse teams to align supply plans with business requirements.
  • Provide guidance and expertise on spare parts lifecycle management (introduction, replacement, depletion, and obsolescence).
  • Prepare consolidated reporting and insights for senior management, highlighting risks, opportunities, and performance trends.
  • Act as knowledge center for SAP/MRP usage, ensuring consistent application of best practices across the team.
  • Drive initiatives for cost optimization in transportation, sourcing, and inventory holding.

 

What we ask for:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
  • Supply Chain Professional Certification is an advantage.
  • Proven experience in supply chain planning, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP MM, MRP, and demand planning tools.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, coach individuals, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience with supply chain risk management or supplier performance monitoring.
  • Strong analytical mindset, with ability to interpret data and translate insights into actions.
  • Advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis); Power BI or similar reporting tools a plus.
  • Ability to manage complexity and make decisions balancing service levels, costs, and risks.
  • Continuous improvement orientation, ideally exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies.
  • Clear and professional communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken) to communicate with colleagues in Europe.

Monthly salary: 2500 - 3300 EUR gross (The final offer will be based on the candidate’s assessed skills, knowledge and experience.)
