Your mission:

 

Would you like to join a newly created team in Riga?

 

The Payroll Operations Specialist will deliver day to day payroll administration for EBS supported countries and will support the operation of the outsourced payroll service. The role performs detailed payroll data preparation, validation, checks and routine issue resolution.

 

What you will do:

 

  • Prepare and validate payroll input data including new hires, terminations, salary changes, allowances, absences, bonuses and other employee lifecycle updates.
  • Review payroll outputs from the outsourced payroll provider for accuracy, identifying discrepancies and working with the outsourced payroll provider and internal teams to resolve issues.
  • Carry out routine payroll calculations, reconciliations and validation checks to support accurate payroll delivery.
  • Support payroll cut off cycles by ensuring all inputs are delivered on time and data inconsistencies are escalated promptly.
  • Respond to payroll-related queries from employees.
  • Maintain accurate payroll documentation and support compliance activity including J SOX controls, segregation of duties checks and audit requirements.
  • Partner with People Operations to ensure correct and complete data is submitted for payroll processing.
  • Collaborate with People Technology to identify and resolve routine system issues impacting payroll and assist with testing of fixes or enhancements.
  • Support statutory and benefits-related reporting by providing accurate data extracts and completing assigned report components.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying recurring issues, process gaps or opportunities to enhance payroll efficiency.
  • Contribute to process improvement by identifying inefficiencies, recurring errors or opportunities to automate or standardise payroll processes.

 

What we ask for:

 

  • Relevant education in the HR or Finance field.
  • Solid payroll experience, ideally but not mandatory within a shared services or multi country payroll environment.
  • Good understanding of payroll processes, statutory requirements and compliance standards.
  • Strong numerical and analytical ability with attention to detail.
  • Experience reviewing outsourced payroll vendor outputs is desirable.
  • Understanding of People-to-payroll data flows and dependencies.
  • Experience using payroll or HRIS systems (SAP SuccessFactors is beneficial).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with people teams, Finance and external partners.
  • Fluency in English is required.

 

What we offer:

Monthly salary 1300 - 1650 EUR gross (The final offer will be based on the candidate’s assessed skills, knowledge and experience).
