Your mission:

 

Would you like to build a new Logistics Team in Riga?

 

As the Logistics Team Leader you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day logistics operations within the Shared Services function, ensuring efficient coordination of transportation, warehousing, new product operations and inventory processes. This role involves leading a team of specialists in these areas, maintaining service level agreements (SLAs), and driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance.

 

This is a great opportunity to join Epson as we establish our brand-new office in Riga. You’ll be a founding member of our Epson Business Services team, collaborating with colleagues locally across functions such as finance, supply chain and logistics. You’ll also work closely with Epson teams all over Europe. 

 

Salary: 29344-36680 (EUR) + Bonus

What you will do:

 

  • Manage a cross functional Logistics team across warehousing, transport, fulfilment and New Product Operations to achieve operational targets, allocating tasks and monitoring performance to ensure high quality delivery and compliance with SLAs.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of orders and documentation.
  • Manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance service quality and support automation and digitalization initiatives within Shared Services.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records for audits and reporting purposes.
  • Mitigate risks related to transportation, customs, and inventory control escalating to the EBS Supply Chain Manager and the Central Logistics Team where needed.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to management on operational performance.
  • Administer people related tasks locally, including leave management and performance reviews and provide training and development to team members.
  • Collaborate with central teams to support team development and drive operational performance.
  • Facilitate effective cross-functional communication and coordination

 

 

What we ask for:Bottom of Form

 

  • Demonstrable team leader experience within a Supply Chain role
  • Minimum Bachelor level in Supply Chain or Business Management (or relevant work experience).
  • Demonstrated experience with administrative processes & method, including dealing with large volumes of data.
  • Excellent Computer literacy: MS Office (especially Excel) and ERP system knowledge (SAP (Logistics / Material Management module) + Power BI is highly beneficial).
  • Fluent in English (written & spoken).
  • Able to collaborate to get things done.
  • Experience in making analysis and reporting using Excel/Power BI, using different sources of data.
