In this newly created role, the Knowledge and Data Analyst will be responsible for insight, transparency, and knowledge excellence across Epson’s European Business Services Centre (EBS). This role ensures accurate and actionable data reporting, while also ensuring robust knowledge management practices that enhance learning, collaboration, and operational efficiency.
By combining data analytics and knowledge management disciplines, the Knowledge and Data Manager enables informed decision-making, reduces rework, and ensures consistent access to high-quality information that supports the EBS’s objectives.
This is a great opportunity to join Epson as we establish our brand-new office in Riga. You’ll be a founding member of our Epson Business Services team, collaborating with colleagues locally across functions such as finance, supply chain and logistics. You’ll also work closely with Epson teams all over Europe.
What you will do:
- Collect, analyse, and interpret operational data from multiple EBS functions and systems.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to support EBS leadership in performance monitoring and decision-making.
- Identify trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities through data analysis and performance tracking.
- Ensure adherence to data governance and security policies, maintaining accuracy and compliance across all reports.
- Align with central functions to maintain consistency in definitions, standards, and compliance requirements.
- Develop and maintain a centralised knowledge base for EBS processes, best practices, FAQs, and work instructions.
- Work with process owners and functional leads to capture and document tacit and explicit knowledge.
- Implement and manage knowledge-sharing platforms and tools for EBS (e.g., SharePoint) to promote collaboration and self-service.
- Train EBS employees on effective knowledge management practices and the use of related tools.
- Facilitate communities of practice and forums that foster knowledge sharing and continuous learning across EBS teams.
What we ask for:
- Proven experience in data analysis, reporting, or knowledge management, preferably within a Shared Service Centre or Global Business Services environment.
- Strong data analysis, reporting and data visualisation skills using tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL.
- Solid understanding of knowledge management principles, systems, and practices. Proficiency in knowledge management platforms (Sharepoint).
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities to translate data and knowledge into actionable insight.
- Skilled in capturing and organising operational knowledge for process documentation.
- Project management and change enablement capabilities to drive adoption of knowledge and reporting initiatives.
- Training or certification in knowledge management, business analytics, or data governance is advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Equivalent work experience will be considered)
