Your mission: 

 

Would you like to join a newly created team in Riga?

As a Junior General Ledger Accountant for our European Business Services (EBS) organisation you will support the general accounting and treasury accounting processes to enable effective and efficient financial reporting for assigned countries in EEB region.

This is a great opportunity to join Epson as we establish our brand-new office in Riga. You’ll be a founding member of our Epson Business Services team, collaborating with colleagues locally across functions such as finance, supply chain and logistics. You’ll also work closely with Epson teams all over Europe.  


What you will do: 

 

  • Support monthly closing tasks and prepare basic journal entries.
  • Upload and maintain documentation in accounting systems.
  • Assist with account reconciliations and ensure data accuracy.
  • Help with fixed asset updates and standard reporting.
  • Process intercompany invoices and support reconciliations.
  • Assist with VAT returns and simple tax reports.
  • Reconcile VAT and clearing accounts.
  • Prepare documents for audits and follow internal control requirements.
  • Process payroll-related accounting entries.
  • Record bank statements in SAP and support cash-flow accuracy.

 

What we ask for: 

 

  • A degree or ongoing studies in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar.
  • Motivation to learn and grow in accounting within an international environment.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles.
  • Good Excel skills and confidence using MS Office tools.
  • Experience with SAP (FI/CO) or other ERP systems is a plus.
  • Organized, detailoriented, and able to work well in a team.
  • Good English (written and spoken) for communication with colleagues in Europe.
