Your mission:

 

Are you a HR Manager looking to build something new in Riga?

 

As the HR Manager you will act as the HR partner for Epson Europe’s Riga European Business Services (EBS) Centre, ensuring that people practices, cultures and ways of working support high performance and employee engagement. You will manage local HR operations, support organisational growth, and help shape a positive employee experience in line with Epson’s global standards.

 

Collaborating with European HR function, you will act as a trusted advisor to site leadership and an advocate for employees, ensuring HR initiatives drive both business performance and employee success.

 

This is a great opportunity to join Epson as we establish our brand-new office in Riga. You’ll be a founding member of our Epson Business Services team, collaborating with colleagues locally across functions such as finance, supply chain and logistics. You’ll also work closely with Epson teams all over Europe. 

 

Salary: 48,000 – 59,500  (EUR) + Bonus

What you will do:

 

  • Contribute to the European people strategy, adapting this for local needs and providing input for future initiatives.
  • Translate function strategy and business priorities into locally relevant HR plans considering legal requirements, cultural, and workforce requirements.
  • Partner with European HR colleagues to ensure consistency of practices and share best-in class approaches across regions.
  • Act as HR partner for local leaders, building trust and providing proactive support.
  • Ensure compliance with local employment laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coach managers and team leaders to strengthen people-management skills, team effectiveness, performance and engagement.
  • Support workforce planning, talent management, organisational change, and succession planning through targeted interventions.
  • Work closely with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure quality and timely recruitment of EBS employees.
  • Manage employee relations cases, including investigations, performance, conflict resolution, and absence.
  • Identify capability gaps and collaborate on training, coaching, and development initiatives.
  • Analyse engagement data to develop action plans that strengthen culture, well-being, and inclusive working practices.
  • Maintain accurate HR records/data and leverage analytics to guide decision-making.
  • Manage the local HR cost budget, ensuring all finance and planning processes are implemented and budget accuracy is maintained.
  • Champion a strong, inclusive culture and act as an advocate for employee well-being.

 

What we ask for:Bottom of Form

 

  • Significant HR generalist or HR manager experience within a fast-paced, service-orientated or shared-service environment.
  • Strong knowledge of local employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • Experienced operating in a matrix organisation, with exposure in other European countries, is highly beneficial.
  • Experience managing a generalist operational HR team.
  • Ability to interpret strategic direction and translate it into actionable local HR plans.
  • Demonstrated experience coaching managers and frontline leaders.
  • Proven ability to support large populations of early-career employees.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder influencing, and relationship-building skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with comfort analysing people metrics to inform decisions.
  • Attention to detail and passion for high quality and accuracy.
  • Fluency in English and Latvian (verbal and written).
  • Professional HR qualification preferred.
