Your mission:

 

Are you a HR Advisor looking to join a newly created team in Riga?

 

As the HR Advisor you will provide expert advice and guidance to managers and employees on all aspects of the employee lifecycle. This role ensures HR policies and processes are applied consistently and supports the delivery of HR initiatives that enhance employee experience and organizational performance.

 

The role also provides support for implementing local or European projects that align with the people strategy and plays a key role in ensuring they are adopted and embedded locally. The role deputises for HR Manager in Latvia when required.

 

This is a great opportunity to join Epson as we establish our brand-new office in Riga. You’ll be a founding member of our Epson Business Services team, collaborating with colleagues locally across functions such as finance, supply chain and logistics. You’ll also work closely with Epson teams all over Europe. 

 

Salary: 28,000 – 35,500 (EUR) + Bonus

What you will do:

 

  • Provide timely and accurate advice to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation, where this is managed in the European Business Service Centre.
  • Advise and coach managers to ensure best practice, compliance with legislative requirements and the application and interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Support HR Business Partners with organisational changes, providing local knowledge and planning to ensure efficient communication and implementation.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding activities, collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team, ensuring a positive candidate experience.
  • Handle ER cases such as disciplinary, grievance, and absence management, escalating complex issues as appropriate.
  • Ensure HR policies are up to date and applied consistently, supporting compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Support in the efficient delivery of cyclical activities including performance management, salary review, budget planning and tracking ensure timely and accurate execution.
  • Contribute to European initiatives and projects such as engagement initiatives, policy reviews, and system improvements.
  • Utilise and analyse HR data to develop and deliver on plans which support employee engagement and experience.
  • Support identification of training needs and assist in coordinating development programs.
  • Initiate and implement local projects to improve efficiency and local practices and enhance customer service.
  • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in all HR activities and communications

 

 

What we ask for:

 

  • HR generalist experience within a fast-paced, service-orientated or shared-service environment.
  • Good knowledge of local employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • Experienced operating in a matrix organisation, with exposure in other European countries, is highly beneficial.
  • Demonstrated experience coaching managers and frontline leaders.
  • Ability to support large populations of early-career employees.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder influencing, and relationship-building skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with comfort analysing people metrics to inform decisions.
  • Excellent planning and organising approach, with the ability to balance conflicting deadlines and priorities.
  • Collaborative working style, pragmatic and positive in approach.
  • Proficient in all MS applications (particularly Excel) and HR technology/systems.
  • Attention to detail and passion for high quality and accuracy.
  • Fluency in English and Latvian (verbal and written).
  • Professional HR qualification preferred.
