Your mission:

 

Are you an Accounts Payable Team Leader looking to establish a new team?

 

As the Accounts Payable Team leader you will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision and coaching of the Accounts Payable (AP) team to ensure a correct, timely and efficient processing of vendor invoices in the European region.

 

The scope of work includes employee expense claims and non-trade Inter Company recharges from and to our HQ and/or European subsidiaries.  You will ensure accurate month end close of AP ledgers and participate in General Ledger activities related to AP sub ledgers.

 

This is a great opportunity to join Epson as we establish our brand-new office in Riga. You’ll be a founding member of our Epson Business Services team, collaborating with colleagues locally across functions such as finance, supply chain and logistics. You’ll also work closely with Epson teams all over Europe. 

 

What you will do:

 

Daily activities:

    • Oversee and ensure accurate and timely processing of vendor setup or change request forms to minimize incorrect or rejected payments.
    • Oversee and ensure accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and employee expense reports in accordance with local legal requirements and Epson policies and procedures.
    • Ensure acurate and timely processing of non-trade Inter Company recharges from European subsidiaries.
    • Ensure accurate and timely payments are performed and reviewed in accordance with policies
    • Management of vendor / Purchase Order queries.
    • Management and reconciliation of the suspense accounts for AP and Service.
    • Maintain good communications with central teams (Accounts Payable Manager, Treasury team).

 

Monthly activities (related to month end closing):

    • Ensure smooth and timely closing of the Accounts Payable sub ledger at month end.
    • Ensure all non-trade Inter Company invoices are booked in time to ensure timely close
    • Complete reconciliation of Accounts Payable related accounts in time and follow up on correctness.
    • Complete the various Accounts Payable reporting metrics, weekly and at month end.
    • Reconcile the AP aging and the AP Suspense Accounts.
    • Provide support to the fiscal accountants in the central team and to the EBS Accountants for VAT submission and declaration.

 

Strategic activities:

    • Provide training and guidance to the Accounts Payable team to ensure they are adequately trained to perform their tasks to the required standard.
    • Ensure Accounts Payable team complies with EEB policies and procedures and local legal regulations.
    • Continuously optimize Accounts Payable process by making suggestions for improvements of processes and procedures.

 

What we ask for:Bottom of Form

 

  • Demonstrated experience in Accounts Payable in an international environment
  • People management experience
  • Sound knowledge of using MS Office applications and SAP / E-invoicing / Concur Tool
  • Some experience with General Ledger Accounting
  • English language skills
  • An additional language such as French, Italian, Spanish or German would be beneficial
  • Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance (Equivalent work experience will be considered)
