We are looking for a dedicated IT Support Specialist to support our team new office in Riga.

 

You will be the go to person to support IT equipment, software, telecom, IT security, Video conference systems and printers and changes according to the update of the service catalogue of the IT services domain.

 

This is a great opportunity to join Epson as we establish our brand-new office in Riga. You’ll be a founding member of our Epson Business Services team, collaborating with colleagues locally across functions such as finance, supply chain and logistics. You’ll also work closely with Epson teams all over Europe. 

 

Salary: 18,000 – 23,000  (EUR) + Bonus

What you will do:

 

Delivery and service request activities:

  • On a daily basis provide support to users on:
    • User accounts and the data folders’ security
    • Corporate laptops, desktops, thin clients, and Apple Mac
    • Corporate phone system (VoIP) and independent mobile telecoms
    • Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), mail system (Exchange) and on shared file system
  • Support and perform preventive maintenance on other IT services, such as printers, video conference systems and projectors in meeting rooms
  • Provide training to end users on computer operation and other issues
  • Access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and FAQ resources on the Internet/Intranet to aid in problem resolution

 

Incident / problem management activities:

  • Ensure that all incidents are resolved in line with agreed SLA’s
  • Maintain the FAQ resources on the Internet/Intranet to aid in incident/problem resolution
  • When required, escalate problem to the appropriately experienced technician and perform post-resolution follow up. Notify/escalate unresolved issue to the EMEA Service Delivery Manager
  • Test fixes to ensure problem has been adequately resolved
  • Monitor recurring problem and implement improvement projects

 

IT asset management and IT procurement activities:

  • Maintain an inventory of all local IT equipment
  • Maintain IT hardware (Desktop / ThinClient / Laptop etc.) and software (Adobe, other software in the service

What we ask for:

 

  • ITIL foundation and MCDST certification required
  • Demonstrated experience at an IT Service Desk, preferably as a senior or in a stand alone position
  • Knowledge of Desktop operating systems.  Must be capable of answering user queries and solving 1st line support problems. 
  • Experience of distributing printing and fax / scanning services
  • Experience of supporting mobile and desktop telecoms
  • Knowledge of Active Directory
  • Knowledge of Citrix is an advantage
  • Some experience in negotiating (local) IT contracts
  • Experience in delivering projects for the modern workspace, eg Cloud applications, mobility, Bring Your Own Device
  • Fluent in English and Latvian, written and verbal.
