Your mission:

We are looking for an experienced HR Manager to lead and deliver operational HR services and business transformation projects across DACH region. We can offer 2 years fixed term contract. In this role, you will work closely with local leaders, managers, and employees to provide high-quality HR support, driving people initiatives while ensuring consistency with European HR strategy. You will also play a key role in the delivery of local HR projects and lead a small team to ensure high performance and service excellence.

 

What you will do:

  • Lead and deliver HR support across the full employee lifecycle in collaboration with HR Business Partners and HR specialists
  • Translate the European people strategy into local actions, ensuring alignment with business goals and local needs
  • Design and execute the local HR annual plan, focusing on continuous improvement and development
  • Advise and coach managers on HR best practices, employment law, and internal policies to ensure compliance and consistency
  • Proactively manage complex employee relations cases, including absence and welfare issues
  • Ensure accurate and timely HR administration, including maintenance of systems and records
  • Manage the local HR budget, ensuring financial accuracy and adherence to planning processes
  • Support change management initiatives and organisational changes, providing local insight and planning expertise
  • Coordinate cyclical HR processes such as performance management, salary review, and bonus programs
  • Identify local learning and development needs and collaborate with the talent team to deliver suitable solutions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local managers, executive leaders, and external service providers
  • Prepare and deliver HR reports for leadership and key stakeholders as required
  • Lead interactions with Works Councils and other regulatory bodies, maintaining open and trusted relationships
  • Manage and develop the local HR team, fostering high performance and supporting career growth
  • Promote a culture of diversity, inclusion, and collaboration across the function

 

What we ask for:

  • Extensive HR generalist experience in a commercial setting with strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
  • Previous experience leading an operational HR team, ideally within a matrix and international environment
  • Proven success in managing projects, driving process improvements, and implementing change initiatives
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills, able to influence at senior levels
  • Commercially minded with an understanding of business needs and challenges.
  • Excellent planning, organisation, and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on accuracy and quality
  • Confident in working with HR systems and Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel
  • Experience working with Works Councils, with a track record of collaborative and trusted engagement
  • Positive, adaptable, and resilient approach to change and continuous improvement
  • Fluent in English and German languages
