Would you like to join a newly created accounting team in Riga?

 

As the Corporate Reporting Specialist you will form part of the Finance Control Team within Epson’s European Business Services (EBS) function. The role is responsible to consolidate accurate month end results as well as forecast and budget for Europe, covering full Profit and Loss. Main activities include month end reporting tasks, corporate reporting, ERP system management and support to Senior Business Controller and Manager Finance Control.

 

This is a great opportunity to join Epson as we establish our brand-new office in Riga. You’ll be a founding member of our Epson Business Services team, collaborating with colleagues locally across functions such as finance, supply chain and logistics. You’ll also work closely with Epson teams all over Europe. 

 

Salary: Starting from 21,120 (EUR) + Bonus

What you will do:

 

Month End Closing & Reporting:

  • Check on sales, SG&A and COS result at month end, propose corrections if needed (product reclass, intercompany sales correction, SG&A expenses management area or product entry etc.).
  • Check status on completeness on month end closing with all functional controllers: service, marketing, IT etc.
  • Prepare month end result report for Finance Manager (full P&L), compared MoM and last forecast.
  • Assure technical completeness of the month end closing
  • Maintain the management allocation cycles.
  • Prepare YoY analysis for auditors.

 

Forecast/Budget:

  • Load forecast/budget into SAP in cooperation with the Financial Controllers.
  • Provide technical support to finance team.
  • Maintain the management allocation cycles; planning set up in SAP.
  • Prepare final European reporting to group HQ on final forecast/budget.

 

Other:

  • Maintain database: cost centre and profit centre structure.
  • Initiate and implement improvements in the execution of own and group activities, including the improvement of processes and written procedures.
  • Support ad hoc issues from Senior Business Controller and Manager Finance Control.
  • Support ad hoc queries from finance HQ

 

What we ask for:Bottom of Form

 

  • Demonstrated relevant experience with financial analysis and/or business reporting or accounting
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a must, Power BI capabilities are a plus.
  • Experience with an ERP is a must, preferably SAP, whereby experience with SAP/Business Warehouse is a highly beneficial.
  • Service orientated with customer focus, stress resistant, innovative and a creative problem solver.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Fluent in English, verbally and in writing
  • Bachelor degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting (Equivalent experience will be considered.
