Your mission:
This position is a fixed term 12-month contract.
As a key member of the local Finance team, the Accounts Payable Administrator (AP) plays a vital role in ensuring that invoices for the DACH region are processed accurately and paid on time. This position also supports the timely and precise reporting of the company’s financial accounts.
What you will do:
- Process non group trade and service supplier’s invoices on time and accurately in accordance with the company’s trading policies and EU VAT regulation. This includes open items check, coding, verifying & posting of invoices, creation of payment proposals and filing of invoices
- Act as main contact for vendors regarding overdue invoices
- Act as main contact for internal departments for NTPO processing
- Maintain the master vendor data base
- Assist in monthly closing process
- Perform administrative tasks according to set policies and procedures and maintain up-to-date filing and reference systems
- Reconcile invoices with payment in A/P sub ledger
- Clearance of received and send balance confirmations
- Regularly monitor double payments and double-booked invoices and take corrective action
What we ask for:
- Mercantile Apprenticeship
- At least 2-3 years’ experience with accounts payable
- Experience in GL accounting in an international environment is beneficial
- Knowledge of German bookkeeping regulations
- Knowledge and experience in international bookkeeping, mainly in VAT are an advantage
- Good knowledge of using MS Office applications (especially Excel)
- Good knowledge of SAP FICO is an advantage
- Knowledge of SOX is an advantage
- Fluent in German
- Good English in written and spoken form
